For over 30 years, Lawrie has been in full-time practice as a hypnotherapist, in Elmwood Street, Sunderland.

Over that time, with hypnotherapy he has succesfully helped thousands of people, to make positive changes in their lives.

Over the years he has been a leading member of many national hypnotherapy organisations.

And for several years was National Training Officer for National Friend (a voluntary counselling and befriending organisation)

Over the past few years he has been one of the three moderators of HypnoThoughts.com the online community for hypnotists, which with nearly 9,000 members, is the largest hypnosis community in the world.

Lawrie was invited in 2009 to give a presentation at the second Global Hypnosummit, on the use of ‘Interactive Guided Imagery in Hypnosis‘, which was attended by hundreds of hypnotherapists from around the world and very well received.

In 2010 for the third Global Hypnosummit, he was invited to give two presentations on ‘ Techniques of Hypno-analysis’, which again were very well received.
